The range of wholesome home cooked food is excellent, the cakes are to die for and the coffee as good as any barista coffee shops. A real gem.

If you are a vegetarian you will love this place! Went there for a light lunch with a friend and was amazed at how full the place was the whole time we were there!
The food is served beautifully,we both had the quiche, which was served with some tongue tingling flavours in different little kinds of salad which were to die for!
The potato dauphinoise was delicious ,creamy and garlicky, the quiche was actually the first quiche I’ve ever eaten that I haven’t made myself that tasted of anything and the texture…wow!!

This is a gem of a restaurant the atmosphere is as and warm friendly as the food is delicious. Fresh local produce enhances the imaginative dishes. The creativity isn’t only used on the food but drinks as well. What can be more comforting on a dreary January day than a warm ginger, lemon and honey drink? No matter if you are a carnivore: we aren’t vegetarians: but we were only aware of the mouthwatering food, not of the missing ingredient, namely meat.

Welcoming, warm, laid back delicious veggie food. Can’t fault it, shall return as soon as humanly possible. Set in a wonderful old courtyard decorated when we were there with bunting, at the top end of the town, adjacent to lots of fascinating artisan shops with fabulous food on sale, art and highly skilled crafts folk. Fits right in and could be a stand-alone as it is so good. Knowledgeable staff anxious to make it just right, I wish I had done a food-selfie (!) as my plate was a work of art in itself.

Went for lunch and it was lovely as usual. Offered help with the pushchair by the helpful staff. The waitress was friendly and helpful. My brie and cranberry panini was accompanied by a delicious and different salad. Atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Brilliant at catering for children with a selection of toys to keep them occupied.
Cakes delicious and marmalade ice cream with incredible! Jan 2013

I’ve had lunch here many times over the years and have dined twice in the past couple of weeks.
I’m not a vegetarian but have always enjoyed fresh and tasty food here. The staff are always very polite and friendly and the service is very good. The menu offers a decent selection of hot and cold food and the food is nicely presented and the side salads are excellent. The cakes are top drawer and my chocolate fudge cake with coconut ice cream was heavenly ! Feb 2013

Eight of us met for lunch today at Amandines. The food was delicious especially the mushrooms on polenta. The service was impeccable – all the serving girls smiled non stop and couldn’t have been more helpful. A perfect place to meet friends for lunch and highly recommended. Feb 2013

Doesn’t matter if you are a veggie or not, we’re not, and yet we always enjoy the lovely food, great coffees and teas, and scrumptious cakes. Also the speciality evening events with music make for a really enjoyable evening in lovely unique surroundings and atmosphere. Nowhere better in Diss in my view…go there!!! Feb 2013

We liked the friendly staff and quick service. We sat by the wood burner in the covered yard as the day was bitter. We liked the way that the old commercial yard had been converted but not over refurbished as it retained the character.
