Amandines Café Restaurant has been cooking vegetarian and vegan food in the ancient and handsome market town of Diss, on the Norfolk Suffolk border, for over 28 years and is a unique place to meet and eat.

Tucked in a charming courtyard of converted Victorian red-brick warehouses, amongst an eclectic selection of independent shops, Amandines exudes a warm, relaxed and friendly welcome for all the family from both it’s staff and it’s comfortable setting – lots of light, climbing jasmine and roses, and a wonderful internal glass covered courtyard open all year, heated by the sun and a traditional wood burning stove.

Welcoming, warm, laid back delicious veggie food. Can’t fault it, shall return as soon as humanly possible. Set in a wonderful old courtyard decorated when we were there with bunting, at the top end of the town, adjacent to lots of fascinating artisan shops with fabulous food on sale, art and highly skilled crafts folk. Fits right in and could be a stand-alone as it is so good. Knowledgeable staff anxious to make it just right, I wish I had done a food-selfie (!) as my plate was a work of art in itself.
